The Chevrolet lineup of electrified vehicles is expanding to include popular favorites like the powerful Chevy Silverado EV and the family-friendly Equinox EV. With so many options becoming available, there's an EV for every driver. But if you find yourself wondering if an EV is a good fit for your needs, here's a look at the benefits of going electric.

Save on gas

Cut your gas budget by going electric. When you choose a Chevy EV, Chevrolet will provide you with a home charging unit, complete with free installation. This convenient home charging station will let you juice up your vehicle when it's not in use. And when you're on the road, simply stop by a public Level 2 charger or a DC Fast Charging station to recharge as much as 100 miles in 30 minutes. 1

Enjoy the ride

Gone are the days of EVs that deliver underwhelming performance. Both current and future Chevy EVs pack a punch with plenty of horsepower and instantaneously delivered torque for a responsive ride. The upcoming Blazer EV is projected to offer 557 horsepower and 648 lb-ft of torque, while the 2024 Silverado EV unleashes a manufacturer estimated 754 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque. So when you choose a Chevy EV, you aren't compromising on power and performance.

Less maintenance

When you drive an EV, you can save time and money on maintenance. Electric vehicles - like the Silverado EV, Blazer EV and Equinox EV. - don't need oil changes or fuel filter changes, since they draw power from a battery instead of a combustion engine that needs fuel and lubrication. Since EVs have fewer moving parts, you won't have to worry about as many things going wrong under the hood. And thanks to regenerative braking, your vehicle will need less frequent brake maintenance.

Cleaner air

You can breathe easier when you've got an electric vehicle. EVs don't produce tailpipe emissions, resulting in cleaner air for everyone.

Portable power

Select Chevrolet EV models can do double duty by serving as a generator. Whether you're looking to run appliances during a power outage or you need access to electricity when you're out camping, the upcoming Silverado EV's PowerBase onboard generator is up to the job.
