At White Allen Chevrolet, we're proud to be the greater Dayton area's prime source for classic Chevrolet cars. We offer only the finest classic models, including the Chevelle, Bel-Air, and the brand's iconic all-American muscle cars. Here's a look at some of the classics we offer.

Chevelle

This classic car is at the heart of Americana. Produced from the 1964 to 1977 model years, this icon was produced as a coupe, sedan, a sports car, and even a station wagon.  Perhaps the most iconic variant is the Chevy Chevelle Super Sport 454, which dominated the competition with its roaring V8 engine that delivered up to 500 lb-ft of torque.

Bel-Air

The Chevy Bel-Air's sleek styling made it an emblem of the 1950s. Much like the Chevelle, it was produced as a coupe, sedan, convertible, and station wagon. Although the Bel-Air was a workhorse for many mid-century American families, it has become a darling at classic car shows and a crown jewel for many collectors. Even for generations that didn't grow up in the back seat of this iconic car, the Bel-Air continues to symbolize the freedom of the open road and the bright-eyed optimism of Pax Americana.

Classic Corvettes

Every generation of the Corvette has delivered unmistakable style and top-of-the-line performance. This classic car debuted at the 1953 Motorama show as a two-seat roadster and gained its first V8 engine in 1955. The model truly hit its stride after a full redesign for the 1956 model year, and in subsequent years, began its meteoric rise to the peak of American sports car stardom. Each generation has added modern and style technological innovations - all while staying true to the Corvette's athletic design and heart-pounding performance.

Classic Camaros

Few vehicles exemplify all-American muscle cars like the Camaro. This icon made waves when it debuted in 1966 - it combined an affordable price tag with head-turning style and thrilling performance. By 1967, it was serving as the official pace car of that year's Indianapolis 500. And in the decades following, the Camaro's legend has continued to grow by dominating the track and winning the hearts of car enthusiasts across the country.

How to Care For Your Classic Chevy

Your classic Chevrolet model is a treasure - so it's important to give it the care and maintenance that it deserves. Here are a few tips from our Service Department to help you maintain its timeless good looks and heart-pounding performance.

Defend against rust

Rust can do a number on your car's value and appearance. To prevent rust, keep a close eye on your vehicle's underside and wheel wells. Quickly clear away any water, mud, or grime that accumulates there. If you park your car in a garage, control moisture in the air with a dehumidifier or fans to keep air circulating, as excess humidity can encourage rust.

And don't leave your vehicle idle all winter - while snow and road salt can be bad for the exterior if allowed to accumulate, long periods of stagnation can lead to the brakes - and other critical components - rusting away.

Protect it from the elements

If you don't have a barn or garage to store your vehicle in, consider investing in a car cover. A cover will protect your classic car from wind-blown debris, acidic contaminants like bird droppings, and the bleaching effects of sunlight.

Enjoy the open road

While your classic Chevy may be a work of art, it's not meant to remain idle. Keep it healthy by driving it regularly, at least once a week. In addition to keeping the fuel system and brakes healthy, driving your vehicle regularly can help you spot maintenance issues before they become costly problems.
