A 3.0-liter six-cylinder diesel engine leads the Suburban powertrain list.

The 3.0-liter inline-six cylinder diesel engine of the new Chevrolet Suburban is the most fuel-efficient engine of the lineup, offering up to 21 miles per gallon in the city and 27 miles per gallon on the highway.
